
1. Call for Papers: Human Rights and Freedoms under Pressure from Algorithms Conference – International and National AI Challenges. To be held on 28 November 2025 in Košice, Slovakia (hybrid format), this international scientific conference hosted by the Faculty of Law at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University is inviting proposals exploring how the rapid development and deployment of AI technologies challenge the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue among legal scholars, technologists, and policymakers on safeguarding human dignity, privacy, freedom of expression and assembly, and democratic integrity in the digital age. Papers may focus on specific cases of AI misuse, analyse international, European, or national legal frameworks, or propose regulatory and policy solutions. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Vasilka Sancin, PhD, Judge at the European Court of Human Rights. The full call can be found here. 2. RRU International Moot Court Competition. The School of Criminal Law and Military Law at Rashtriya Raksha University, India has announced the 2nd edition of the RRU International Moot Court Competition on the theme International Law and Global Security. This year’s proposition focuses on the sub-themes of trade of dual-use items under international law and remedies for sanctioned third-country entities under international law, among others. The competition is scheduled to be held at the University’s campus in Gandhinagar, India, from 14 – 16 November 2025. They encourage participants from all UN regions, and have announced a financial assistance of up to USD 1,000 each to the top eight international teams to support their participation. 3. Call for Submissions: Trade, Law and Development. Trade, Law and Development (TL&D), an Indian law journal in international economic law, is inviting submissions for its upcoming Special Issue (Vol. XVII, No. 1) on “Into the Future of Global Trade: Tackling Fragmentation, Protectionism, Tariffs, and Beyond”. An indicative list of subtopics is available here. Submissions should be original, unpublished manuscripts in the form of ‘Articles’, ‘Notes’, ‘Comments’ and ‘Book Reviews’, focusing on the above theme.
