The City of Long Beach will educate the public on artificial intelligence (AI), digital skills and online safety through a series of free community workshops in October.
The sessions, organized by the City’s Department of Technology and Innovation (TID), coincide with Digital Inclusion Week and aim to help residents navigate the burgeoning world of AI while protecting their personal information.
During the workshops, participants will watch demonstrations and complete activities that will help them better understand and navigate generative AI. The workshops will also cover everyday tips for cybersecurity and data privacy.
Workshops are scheduled at multiple locations across the city:
Each session lasts 90 minutes and will cover the same learning material.
Light refreshments will be provided. Residents are encouraged to register ahead of time at lbcity.info/aiprivacy. Interpretation services in Spanish, Khmer, and Tagalog are available upon request.
