On Sunday at 3:03 p.m. EDT the National Weather Service released an updated ice storm warning in effect until 11 p.m. EDT for Crawford, Oscoda and Alcona counties.
The weather service adds to expect, "Light icing. Additional ice accumulations around a light glaze."
"Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs will continue to cause tree damage and widespread power outages. Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible," explains the weather service. "Do not touch downed lines. Travel is highly discouraged due to downed trees and power lines."
