CLAYTON, Mo. — A longtime Clayton restaurant plans to move to a new location in the city.
Local Japanese restaurant chain Sushi AI, which operates multiple locations throughout the region, plans to move its Clayton location from its current location at 4 N. Central Ave. to 46 N. Central, at the intersection of North Central and Maryland avenues, city zoning documents show. The two properties are a few hundred feet apart.
The property is the site of the $101 million mixed-use redevelopment Bemiston Place, a 6-story, mixed-use apartment building, with the ground floor intended for retail use, city documents show. It’s a project of St. Louis-based developer Balke Brown Transwestern.
