Location-based app for food recommendations (by item, not by restaurant). For example $5, $10, chicken, Chinese food around my current location.

1) Website

• Cloud-based subscription accounts to allow merchants to upload menu items and make account configurations.

• API data import/lookup using yelp, foursquare, etc.

2) App

• mobile HTML5 app (iOS, Android, Windows) that allows users to quickly look up food items based on current location

• Functionalities include filters (price, food type, distance, etc.), ratings, food information, restaurant address/phone #, recommendations, featured items (ads)

3) Skills

• Web/mobile development, HTML5, javascript, CSS, database, API, server side scripts

• Search/sort algorithms

• Plus for UX designs – Photoshop, wireframe, interactive designs

Company

· Startup in Silicon Valley

· Founders with over 10 years experience in software development and sales

· Fortune 100 company leadership experience

· Background in computer science and business administration

Compensation

· 6,000RMB/month (3 month trial for 5,000RMB)

· 40 hours/week

· Flexible schedule and can work remote

Skills

· Web development

o Server-side language - PHP, database, Java, Python

· Basic English

Experience/Education

· University degree in computer science or related fields

· At least 2 years working experience as a technical developer

Personality

· Looking for intelligent developers that can independently solve problems

· You don’t have to know everything

· Curiosity to learn and strong interest/passion in developing mobile products
